!!!!! I Love Winning !!!!!!
I still remember the day, it was the day full with challenges for me.
My day started with meeting with boss, which went crazy as nobody accepted my proposal.
My next discussion with my peers we had heated discussions, peers had recommendations but I was seeing lots of improvements and started proposing one by one soon discussion started and meeting closed with no outcome.
I was very disappointed with both the events.
Post that i started on my planned activities but got important work by boss to complete which took my whole of remaining hours and now it is time to go home.
I was tired and frustrated with the day.
I reached home and then sat down
My wife came and started telling me how difficult her day was.
Soon our conversation started becoming heated conversation; as again, I was again trying to add suggestions for her, passing judgements e.g. “this was not the right way to do the thing” and started talking about my experience on how I could have dealt with this situation and guess what happened next; we stopped talking for sometime.
Soon, I realized there was something wrong.
Same day, when i was following my Coach Marshall and saw one of his video
Then I realized
That my WINNING HABIT is troubling me a lot.
Then i started recognizing the triggers for me to demonstrate this behavior
Then I could find solution to help me on this behavior change
I have defined a new habit for my old habit as
When i will get in conversations
i will listen to conversation
and
Questions myself is it worth adding value in any conversation.
I started keeping this new habit as reminder card to me and it soon started working for me
- STOP WINNING
- STOP adding too much value
- STOP Telling the world how SMART am I
- STOP passing judgement
- IDENTIFY THE TRIGGERS FOR BEHAVIORS and Build NEW HABIT
